Drawn Out
This drawing was an exercise in restraint; a deliberate choice to work with just one tone. Inspired by the idea that limiting children’s palette can spark deeper imagination, Kylie leaned into simplicity to see what might emerge. Using only warm tones, the piece explores how mood, texture, and personality can be expressed without relying on a full spectrum of colour. It’s a study in focus and feeling: how much can be said with less. The result is both stylised and intimate, inviting the viewer to notice the small details that colour alone can’t explain.
